Organizers of the epic event that bills itself as "The Race" have announced that they?ll stage a "major rendezvous" prior to the December 31 start of the event. The purpose of this gathering?what they?re calling The Prologue of The Race?is to bring the fleet of boats that will be dashing around the globe in The Race, together for the first time. Organizers say they expect 10 boats to attend The Prologue, which they?ve scheduled to take place in Monaco on December 2nd and 3rd.
