The Storm Trysail Club of Larchmont, NY clarified an earlier story on a pending Havana to Baltimore race. Dedicated to ocean racing, the organization is managing a race from the Club Nautico Internacional Hemingway in Havana for a 1,200 mile race timed to coincide with the City of Baltimore?s Annual Harbor Festival. The race requires no additional approval from the US Government, although a required license has been applied for and approval is expected. The license enables participants to spend US dollars in Cuba. A US/ Cuban Children's Optimist Regatta has also been scheduled as part of the overall event, which will take place in Cuba on the two days prior to the start of the ocean race.
