NEWPORT, RI — In offshore action last weekend, George David?s 50-foot Idler led the 43-boat fleet, sailing for the DuPont Trophy in the Onion Patch Series and the Catherine Hollis Memorial Trophy for the IMS North American Championship. Along with her fellow teammates on the Storm Trysail Red Team — Bob Towse?s Blue Yankee and Steve Munger?s S&S 48 Harrier — Idler also leads in the team competition with finishes of first, third, and eighth respectively. Second place is held by the Indian Harbor Team, which consists of Martin Jacobson?s Crescendo, Sam Fortenbaugh?s Syrocco, and Eric Swenson?s Toscana.
