The national governing body for the sport—US SAILING—meets for it?s annual spring meeting at Chicago?s Palmer House Hilton March 23-26. The various committees and working parties that make up the organization will meet and host a variety of seminars while attending to a full agenda of business. Among the long weekend?s highlights will be a presentation at the Chicago Yacht Club on Friday at 4:30 p.m entitled ?Breaking the Barriers of the Sport,? which will reveal the results gleaned from an ongoing study conducted as an effort to make sailing more accessible. The team responsible for the study includes Steve Colgate, Gary Hoyt, Chip Johns, Susie Trotman, Peter Huston, John Kantor, and Dick Pfund. John Bonds served as the facilitator for the study.
